- Eastern Subterranean Termites. These termites are the most widely distributed termite across North America, costing homeowners and building owners as much as $5 billion annually in repairs, treatments, and prevention. They are typically smaller than Formosan termites and need contact with the soil to survive.
- Formosan Termites. These termites are aggressive, defensive, and a single colony may contain several million termites in the worst cases. They are known to not be picky when feeding and can quickly chew their way through all types of wood.
